I don't know about you, but it took me ages to find a healthy delicious ingredient to put into my smoothies or to alternatively cook with until I discovered Almond Milk. Now I know what you are going to say and I completely agree they are expensive, but now you can save money and make your own almond at home!
Ingredients:
150g raw almonds 1tbsp vanilla extract 1/4 tbsp ground cinnamon 750 ml filtered water Pinch of salt
Method:
1. Soak your raw almonds for approximate about 12 hours / overnight. 2. Next morning, take your lovely almond friends from the fridge, drain them in clean water and chuck them either in your food processor or blender. 3. Add in the salt, ground cinnamon and vanilla extract and start to blend. 4. As you are mixing away, with the motor running of your blender slowly add in the water. 5. Once the water are in make sure to blend on high speed for about a minute or two. 6. Once your almond milk has a milky look and color to it, drain your milk and keep the almond left overs to make almond meal with.
7. Store in the fridge and enjoy as per normal.
