To celebrate our friends at Food Lover's Market with their amazing deals that they currently have on various products that this week with their roast week specials we have decided to join into the fun with this incredible recipe of ours!
You'll need:
1 x Shot of Finery Gin (Grapefruit) and extra to serve
450g x Good quality steak strips
250g Mushrooms
1 x Fresh sweet potato
200g Broccoli, sliced in pieces
200g Cauliflower, sliced into pieces
150g Green beans
150g Carrots
500g Potatoes, sliced in half
8 x Fresh garlic cloves, smashed
Garlic & herb spice
Potato spice
Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Italian Parsley
Method:
Preheat your oven to 180 degrees.
Line up a big roast pan and a medium roast pan a lightly drizzle with virgin olive oil. Once done, line up a big pot with water & salt and add in your potatoes. Let your potatoes boil for roughly about 8 - 10 minutes and making sure that you don't cook your potatoes. Once done, drain and leave to cool.
In your big roast pan, add in your mushroom, sweet potato, broccoli, cauliflower, green beans, carrots and fresh garlic cloves. Mix roughly and drizzle with olive oil, and spice with garlic and herb spice. Once done, line up your potatoes in the medium roast pan, drizzle with olive oil, and spice with potato spice. To round it off, sprinkle with fresh Italian parsley.
Roast for about 45 - 50 minutes or until your veggies are nice and soft and your potatoes are nice and crispy. Remove from the oven.
Meanwhile in a Wok add in your steak strips, with a little bit of virgin olive oil. Then line up your Finery Gin and gently sprinkle over over medium to high heat. The gin will ensure that the steak strips have a stunning flavor and does not become sticky. Fry for about 5 - 9 minutes or until golden goodness. Add a bit of Garlic & Herb pepper and a little bit of Gin for extra flavor
Serve with a lovely red wine such as a Diemersdal Matys.
