Aren't Sunday's comfort days? This lovely pot pie is not only warm and delicious, but a absolute must to bring about all the happy faces in your family! There are so many pie ideas out there, but we are sure you haven't tasted anything like this yet!
Ingredients:
500g Extra Lean Mince
Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Puff Pastry (I made my own which was absolutely gorgeous, check our recipe on our website)
1 x onion
1 x green pepper
3 x garlic cloves
250g diced bacon
250g mushrooms
Handful of fresh basil leaves
1 x egg
Coconut spray
Salt to taste
Method:
In a hand blender, add your garlic, green pepper, onion and basil and blend until nice and fine.
Meanwhile line up a wok and add in your olive oil, mince, bacon and mushrooms. Once done, add in your blended garlic, green pepper, onion and basil. Fry until golden and fragrant. Salt to perfection.
Pre heat your oven to 180 degrees.
Once done line up about five small bowls. Spray each bowl with coconut spray. Once done, add dough to the bottom of your bowl, adding in the mixture and covering the top part with dough. Repeat until you have no more goodness left.
Bake for round about 20-25 minutes or until golden, puffy and beautifully brown.
Makes about 6 pot pies
