Naan Bread with Garlic Greatness

I can't think of any other way then to enjoy a lovely creamy butter chicken without some homemade naan bread, the garlic and butteriness makes for absolute perfection.

Ingredients:


400g all purpose flour

1 x tsp salt

1 x tsp baking powder

4 x tsp virgin olive oil

250ml almond milk


For the garlic goodness:


10 x garlic cloves, pealed

Salt to taste

Sugar to taste

Coconut oil to fry


Method:


In a stand mixer with the dough hook add in your flour, salt, baking powder and olive oil and mix together over low speed. Once on the go add in your almond milk slowly until all absorbed and kitchen goodness.


Leave the machine to knead your dough for roughly about 5 minutes or until your dough forms a big ball.


Leave your dough to rest for about an hour (covered) in a room temperature'd environment.


Meanwhile line up a baking tray (sprayed) and with your pealed garlic cloves. At this stage preheat your oven to 200 degrees.


Once your garlic cloves have been lined up sprinkle with salt and sugar and roughly mix around on the baking tray.Once done and the oven is ready pop in your garlic cloves for about 5-10minutes or until golden and stunning. Leave to cool down.


Once cooled, roll your dough until it forms a round hotdog shape and cut into six even pieces.

To make your naan bread, take roughly about 2 x oven cooked garlic cloves, smash it in between the dough and roll out your naan bread in the shape that you prefer. Repeat for all the naan breads.

Line up a pan over medium to low heat, ensuring both sides of the naan bread is buttered and fry until golden on each side.
