Rump Steak Salad

Rump steaks are such a healthy meat with less fat and packed full of absolute greatness. For the best outcome, make sure you get good quality steak and that you braai it on the fire for absolute perfection, plus what better way then to add a shot of Gin to lock in all that goodness?

You'll need:


1 piece of good quality rump steak (size all depends on you)

1 shot of Finery Gin (Amber Elderflower)

Lettuce, sliced

Cucumber, sliced

Tomato, sliced

Feta cheese, crushed

Banting mustard sauce for additional flavor

Extra virgin olive oil

Himalayan salt to taste


Method:


In a large bowl, with your gin and extra virgin olive oil as well as your salt leave your steak to rest while you heat up your fire. (The secret here is that you quickly want to add the steak while there is still flames, pour over the mixture to lock in all that absolute goodness).

Once done leave your meat to rest and braai until nice and juicy with it being a little pink in the side.


Prepare your salad as per normal, and drizzle over a little of your mustard sauce as per your choice. Once your salad is ready cut your meat in strips and serve.
